DLA were invited to submit ideas for a 'design challenge', to design two art trolleys that the Hepworth Gallery will use for children and adults to access simple activities in the gallery spaces at weekends and holidays as part of new galleries art education programme.

 

After finalising the design, two colour schemes were submitted, one will be used for the permanent collection and the other for temporary exhibitions.

 

The first of the two 'Art pods' was delivered to the gallery one week after its opening, the second unit was delivered in late September 2011.
