Blackburn Colleges New Beacon Centre, is an extension to the University Centre at Blackburn College and a new development for Blackburn's Community Voluntary Service.
The New Core building at Blackburn college has been developed from a Stage B Scheme in January 2010 to stage C in March 2010. Planning was submitted in April 2010 and granted with unanimous support. The new building will contain Student services, LRC, Art and Design, Childcare, Health and social care, Essential studies as well as faith rooms, cafe and leaner support facilities. The building will be circa 8600sq/m and is due to complete in September 2011.
