A competition organised by RIBA and the Learning & Skills Council challenged architects to come up with designs for 'world class buildings for world class education.' DLA's entry was inspired by their belief that high quality design enriches and enlivens the learning environment, thus inspiring and exciting learners. Their concept was underpinned by a desire to provide a facility that will allow for wider participation and create a socially inclusive environment.
