This invited tender following selection at OJEU, comprises the expansion of an existing primary school to 4FE. The site required careful masterplanning to minimise disruption and deliver improvements that balance value for money with an inspiring inclusive environment. One of the main aims of the design was to ensure that it felt as one whole school and not three separate schools. This was achieved by creating one entrance and a circulation spine so that all years from foundation to juniors used the same space.

 

Other improvements are an exciting new entrance, a new hall that can be used by the local community, new playspaces and a state of the art new junior block.

 

All of the above improvements are designed to deliver a highly sustainable solution using ground source heat pumps and timber frame structural solutions.
