This housing renewal project and secured our place on a Framework Agreement with Wakefield District Council.

 

The initial phase is for 200 homes at Girnhill, a former mining community.

 

The layout responds to the wider regeneration aspirations for the town, by establishing a strong pedestrian connection from the Town Centre, through the new estate and out to the proposed orbital footpath beyond.

 

It is here, just beyond the community that a wind turbine will eventually be installed.

 

This will permit the establishment of an Energy Service Company and zero carbon design.
