Location: Wakefield
Construction Value: £100 million
Recognised as the most significant project in Wakefield for twenty years, the Marsh Way regeneration scheme is set to transform the city centre improving retail provision and dramatically enhancing the general amenity of the City centre. The project includes a new department store, public library with roof top terrace, a re-located Sainsbury's Superstore.
The concept for this scheme, prepared in conjunction with our specialist Masterplanning team, works to fit seamlessly into the existing city framework and connect the city centre and new retail quarter to outlying, and often forgotten, neighbourhoods. Central to the design was the desire to provide a high quality public realm to invigorate and enliven this new mixed-use quarter.
