DLA Continue to Support Wakefield Hospice

Towards the end of 2011, DLA held an event at its Wakefield Head Office to showcase the hidden talents of its staff. Artwork, photography, classic cars and baking were amongst the exhibits displayed and throughout the evening a series of competitions were held, culminating in a raffle with all proceeds being donated to Wakefield Hospice. Many of DLA’s suppliers and local businesses generously donated prizes ranging from TV’s and Digital Camera’s to hampers, hairdressing vouchers and even car shampoo. A grand total of £862.00 was raised from the event which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
 
For many years now DLA have also supported the Hospice through the very popular annual Easter Egg and Christmas Hamper raffles. The latest of these, the Christmas Hamper raffle for 2011, raised £126.00. In addition, we also have charity collection boxes around the office for staff to donate loose change whenever they can.
 
More recently, a ‘Don’t Bin It, Bag It’ campaign was launched within DLA, encouraging staff to donate any clothes, textiles, DVD’s etc for Wakefield Hospice to sell in their charity shops. Many people took the opportunity for an early Spring clean and several bags were donated with the hope that these will raise much needed funds to go towards the annual £3.2m running costs Wakefield Hospice face.
 
DLA Design Group is proud to continue its support for Wakefield Hospice, and look forward to playing an active role in fundraising with them throughout 2012.
