Working in collaboration, DLA Architecture and DLA Landscape & Urban Design were successful in a competitive bid to develop a plot of land at Estuary Business Park in Speke, Liverpool.

The successful proposals included a 100,000 sq ft corporate HQ building, eight small business units and a central Pavilion building incorporating transport hub, management offices, cafe and car sharing facility. Highly sustainable in design and situated within an impressive landscape setting, the buildings will be naturally ventilated and benefit from the use of photovoltaic cells with ground source heating and cooling.

 

The structure features green roofs and the main headquarters building is perched over perimeter 'water pools', designed to reflect the building's profile, aid summer cooling and act as a collector for rainwater.
