Location: Wroclaw

Our response to the brief for a 44,000 seat stadium aims to create a bold, sweeping form that fuses and coalesces with a national park to the west of the site. The proposal expands on our core design driver: to create 'an amphitheatre in the park.' Responding to the unique location, the proposal aims to create an asymmetric form which links to the parkland using the device of a descending green planar roof.

 

Designed to deliver substantial operational benefits, the stadium is fully prepared for the 2012 European Football Championship whilst also boasting the potential flexibility to transform into a performance arena if required.
