The brief for this development was to provide a distribution warehouse accommodation for B&M stores comprising 500,000 sq ft of warehouse space and ancilliary office accommodation of 25,000 sq ft and 28,000 sq ft of control areas located on two floors.
The development provides accommodation for 310 staff and visitor car parking. The car park also includes spaces for disabled use, cycle and motorcycle parking.
The development also incorporated new highway infrastructure with new vehicular access from Dakota Drive, together with a gatehouse and service yards. Site landscaping included a planted bund along the Banks Road/Blackburne Street frontage. Further planting and landscaping was included along the northern and southern boundaries and within the car park areas, plus further enhancement along Dakota Drive.
