Job Role: Group Board Director

About: Chris is an architect and Director of DLA Design Group. After joining DLA in 2004 he led the London studio from its inception championing design quality and building long lasting client relationships. His role has developed to cover all three of DLA’s offices focussing on coordinating client requirements for new projects across the UK.

He has experience across most sectors but in particular has developed a detailed understanding of mixed-use developments in urban locations. His focus in this area is on community led solutions, bespoke to the local context with each project reaching an understanding of the unique local history, local connections and the community’s own aspirations for regeneration.

Chris has demonstrated this creativity through numerous projects across the UK including the winning RIBA International Design competition for a new cultural centre in Northwich, the St John at Hackney community project and more recently the Equipment Works in North London, a central part of the Blackhorse Road regeneration masterplan.
