Job Role: Education Architect
As an Architect, Esther has had a wide range of experience encompassing HE, Commercial and Healthcare projects as well as having spent some time on site as a Design Co-ordinator.
Esther joins DLA from Hawkins Brown Architects where she worked on the extensive fit out and refurbishment of a 450 student bedrooms across 3 sites for Goldsmiths University. Much of her experience is from RIBA Stage 4 onwards with a focus on project delivery. She is highly dedicated to her projects and always works hard to ensure relations between the design team and client are nurtured.
Outside of work Esther is rarely found sitting still. If she is not swimming in one of London’s Lidos, running or cycling she might be screen printing, sewing, or taking photos. She has had 2 of her travel photos published in the Guardian.
Favourite Design / Building:
Esther’s favourite design / building is ever changing. Let’s say her current favourite is the 2017 Serpentine Pavilion by Francis Kéré. A highly crafted, engineered, and sculpted piece. She can’t wait to see it when it’s raining to witness the central circular rainfall run off/ waterfall feature.
