Job Role: Architect

About: Luke joined the Leeds team in August 2016, after achieving a Distinction at MArch and is now working towards his Part III accreditation. Luke completed his studies at Leeds Metropolitan/Beckett University for both his Part I & Part II accreditations, where he excelled in both, physical and computer generated 3D modelling, with a particular interest in Parametricism & ground breaking design techniques. Luke also has international experience working in Dubai prior to undertaking the Part II MArch course at Leeds.

My Favourite Project: The Majestic
The Majestic is a classy example of how old, run down or damaged buildings can be reimagined and given a 5* treatment, giving them a new lease of life and bringing them into the 21st century with style.
The design and delivery of landmark projects such as The Majestic is one of the key reasons DLA Design appealed so much to Luke. It signified to him that the practice was ambitious and one that could dream big but also deliver.

Other Interests:

Besides all things architecture, Luke enjoys letting his creativity run riot with a particular interest in art & design. Furthermore Luke is always willing to get involved with social event, both within the office & outside, and is even willing to step out of his comfort zone. A keen traveller Luke has just returned from visiting Indonesia, where he did indeed step out of his comport zone by successfully summiting Mount Rinjani, the 38th most topologically prominent summit in the world – 3,726m (12,224ft).
