The national Airline of the United Arab Emirates, Etihad seeks to reflect the best of Arabian hospitality - cultured, considerate, warm and generous.

At the heart of this promise is Etihad’s on-the-ground customer care centre at Manchester Airport. Designed by DLA Interiors as a turnkey package, the 20,000 sq ft office facility integrates a call centre, state of the art training and various support facilities, including finance and sales, breakout & dining facility.

The design concept included modification of the landlord core areas to exacting standards and the creation of reception arrival space, meeting rooms, boardroom & open plan workspaces. Set over two floors of an existing building, a self-supporting helical stair was added by creating a void between the third and fourth level reception areas. All existing raised floors and suspended ceilings were also removed and replaced.

DLA Interiors’ scope of involvement extended to the design & delivery of bespoke joinery items including storage feature wall, meeting tables, reception desk, wall panelling & also the design of a custom made desking space for the workspaces, along with furniture purchase and commissioning, delivering a ready-to-use facility for Etihad Airways upon completion.
